This stoneware pie pan is perfect for baking traditional apple, pumpkin, and key lime pies. Our American-made stoneware evenly distributes heat to create a crispy, caramelized crust. These pie pans are microwave, oven, refrigerator, freezer, and dishwasher safe, however, make sure your stoneware has reached room temperature before heating or freezing, as extreme temperature changes may cause your product to crack.

    The pie plate was bought for a friend who bakes all kinds of completely home made desserts. Her birthday is next month so I can't speak to how it bakes. I can say that I am very impressed with the packaging of the plate. No chance of breaking in transit. I am certain that my friend will be happy to add this pie plate to her collection of bakeware.

    Ages ago, I purchase a natural stoneware pie dish from a home party company. I noticed that my pumpkin pie crust was always amazing, while my apple pie crust in the glass pie dishes was always soggy - no matter what I tried. I knew I needed a natural stone pie dish that was deeper. Finally I fount this one from Ohio Stoneware. Its the perfect depth for apple pie and my crusts are now perfect This is the best pie dish ever!

    I have other pie plates from a well know stoneware maker, but the Ohio Stoneware pie plates are the ones I’m always reaching for. The size is perfect, just a little deeper and wider than the others. I also love the fact that they are unglazed because sometimes you just want the basics!
