This 1 Gallon Preserving Crock Starter Kit includes a 1 Gallon Stoneware Crock, 1 Gallon Crock Cover, and 1 Gallon Weight Set. 

These beautiful Ohio Stoneware crocks are very useful, and make a nice addition to any stoneware collection. They are great for traditional canning and pickling uses, and this 1 Gallon Crock is a nice size for pickles and kraut. They can be used decoratively, as well... and as kitchen storage and pantry containers. 

In addition to this 1 Gallon Crock Starter Kit, we also sell a 2 Gallon Crock Starter Kit. 

When purchasing our crocks, covers, and weights, please keep in mind that we carry six sizes of Ohio Stoneware preserving crocks, weights, and covers. Lid size and weight size should match the crock size, (I.e., 1 gallon lid pairs with the 1 gallon crock, and the 1 gallon weight set pairs with the 1 gallon crock). Available in 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 10 gallon sizes. 

Each crock is fired at a high temperature for durability! Finished with Lead-Free, Food-Safe Glaze. Ready to use. Easy to clean. Will not retain the food’s flavors. Microwave safe. Oven safe. Dishwasher safe. High Quality!

Warranty Information

Ohio Stoneware guarantees this product five years from the date of purchase against all defects in materials and workmanship, provided the product has been used as instructed. It does not cover normal wear and tear, commercial use, or misuse of the product. To claim under the guarantee please email pictures of the product to info@ohiostoneware.com with proof of purchase or date of purchase and retailer purchased from. After review, Ohio Stoneware may request to have the item sent in for a physical review and at its discretion will determine if the product is eligible for replacement. Replacement products will be sent free of charge with prepaid postage. Ohio Stoneware, in its discretion, shall either repair or replace the product free of charge and return the product prepaid. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights, which vary state to state.

    This exceeded my expectations. It's beautiful, well made and finished. Just got my first batch of pickles from the crock and they're my best yet, by far. I am new to fermenting, but this crock even makes it more fun. i am a 74 year old surfer from Hawaii eating delicious NY style garlic/dill pickles. Cowabunga!!

    I love them both. They came within 3 days.! I followed the recipe included in the box, and the sauerkraut was wonderful. It was so easy to make! Excellent product!.

    We bought this to use for our sourdough starters. It is amazing to say the least. The size is more than ample for us to make a starter in and not worry about it overflowing the container. Also being a crock jar, it hold temperatures really well and is the most consistent with keeping moisture in the starter we have found. So happy we bought this jar.
