This 2 Gallon Preserving Crock Starter Kit includes a 2 Gallon Stoneware Crock, 2 Gallon Crock Cover, and 2 Gallon Weight Set.
These beautiful Ohio Stoneware crocks are very useful, and make a nice addition to any stoneware collection. They are great for traditional canning and pickling uses, and this 1 Gallon Crock is a nice size for pickles and kraut. They can be used decoratively, as well... and as kitchen storage and pantry containers.

When purchasing our crocks, covers, and weights, please keep in mind that we carry six sizes of Ohio Stoneware preserving crocks, weights, and covers. Lid size and weight size should match the crock size, (I.e., 1 gallon lid pairs with the 1 gallon crock, and the 1 gallon weight set pairs with the 1 gallon crock). Available in 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 10 gallon sizes.
Each crock is fired at a high temperature for durability! Finished with Lead-Free, Food-Safe Glaze. Ready to use. Easy to clean. Will not retain the food’s flavors. Microwave safe. Oven safe. Dishwasher safe. High Quality!
Do not expose your Ohio Stoneware piece to direct flame (stovetop, grill, etc). Direct heat may cause your piece to crack and you will be sad. This is considered misuse and will not be covered under our warranty.

I am using it to culture pickels, I love it. It is so easy ans looks good so I am leaving it on the counter.
I would recommend it for: ease of use, looks good sitting around, works really well, well made.

Quality
I do love the crock. When it arrived I was excited. I already have my first pickles working. Being that this is my first crock love it. But the lid is warped, which when I called was told that the lids sometimes do that. That they're not for sealing just covering. Which is fine it's just not very asteticlly pleasing to the eye. Other than that great quality

2 Gallon starter kit crock
We already had a 3 gallon crock, but when we do sauerkraut in fall would like to do more. Since we are older the 5 gallon would be too heavy for us. This is a beautiful crock! It was packaged well and has all the bells and whistles. Our 3 gallon crock does not have lid or weights. Can't wait to use. Judy King

2 Gallon Starter Kit
I love this crock/lid/weight kit. Within 24 hours, I had started fermenting corn. Next up, cabbage! The crock is spacious, I thought the 2 gallon size might be too small. It’s perfect. Good quality, excellent price when compared to other similar products.
