This  2 Gallon Preserving Crock Starter Kit includes a 2 Gallon Stoneware Crock, 2 Gallon Crock Cover, and 2 Gallon Weight Set. 

These beautiful Ohio Stoneware crocks are very useful, and make a nice addition to any stoneware collection. They are great for traditional canning and pickling uses, and this 1 Gallon Crock is a nice size for pickles and kraut. They can be used decoratively, as well... and as kitchen storage and pantry containers. 

In addition to this 2 Gallon Crock Starter Kit, we also sell a 1 Gallon Crock Starter Kit. 

When purchasing our crocks, covers, and weights, please keep in mind that we carry six sizes of Ohio Stoneware preserving crocks, weights, and covers. Lid size and weight size should match the crock size, (I.e., 1 gallon lid pairs with the 1 gallon crock, and the 1 gallon weight set pairs with the 1 gallon crock). Available in 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 10 gallon sizes. 

Each crock is fired at a high temperature for durability! Finished with Lead-Free, Food-Safe Glaze. Ready to use. Easy to clean. Will not retain the food’s flavors. Microwave safe. Oven safe. Dishwasher safe. High Quality! 

Do not expose your Ohio Stoneware piece to direct flame (stovetop, grill, etc). Direct heat may cause your piece to crack and you will be sad. This is considered misuse and will not be covered under our warranty.

Ohio Stoneware guarantees this product five years from the date of purchase against all defects in materials and workmanship, provided the product has been used as instructed. It does not cover normal wear and tear, commercial use, or misuse of the product. To claim under the guarantee please email pictures of the product to info@ohiostoneware.com with proof of purchase or date of purchase and retailer purchased from. After review, Ohio Stoneware may request to have the item sent in for a physical review and at its discretion will determine if the product is eligible for replacement. Replacement products will be sent free of charge with prepaid postage. Ohio Stoneware, in its discretion, shall either repair or replace the product free of charge and return the product prepaid. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights, which vary state to state.

    I saw the Ohio Stoneware crocks first on Amazon a while ago. I've always kept my eye on these. It was between the German crocks or these from Ohio Stoneware. After reading the reviews on Amazon for these, I discovered that there were a lot of complaints for crocks arriving broken. Not what I wanted, so I went in search of the actual site for Ohio Stoneware. Here I am writing a review. The crock arrived in perfect shape. Packing was very well thought out. Delivery was also QUICK!!! The crock is larger than I imagined--BUT boy does it look good on my countertop in my farmhouse kitchen. I LOVE IT! Awesome piece. Will be back for another.

    Perfect home sized crock

    The crock, weights, and lid arrived in a timely fashion. I was sort of surprised by this as my order was supposedly a "pre-order" , of which I was expecting to wait for a few months to receive. But I got it in about two weeks, so thank you Ohio Stoneware. Not only was the crock and all accessories delivered quickly, they came in perfect order. No chips, cracks, or other issues. At the moment the crock has approximately twelve pounds of shredded cabbage that is slowly fermenting into sauerkraut, and could probably safely handle another three pounds worth. Thank you, Ohio Stoneware, for a great product.

    Arrived very well packaged.... also, the customer service is top notch. I ordered straight from company! I highly recommend ordering straight through the Stoneware Outlet.. Love the product. Fermenting my first sauerkraut now.

    The crock has some serious vibes! Sturdy, simple, elegant, with homey evidence of its handmade quality. I found it very easy to work with for pounding out my sauerkraut and look forward to seeing how this first batch turns out.

    I’m disappointed because the blue inked number 2 is smeared ink on beige crock. It looks like I bought a second not a perfect crock from the manufacturer at full price.
